The Farrah Gray Go-Farr MasterCard is issued by the entrepreneurial author Farrah Gray. It is a general purpose prepaid card for unbanked Americans that can be reloaded multiple times at various locations and through different payment types.
The card costs $24.95 to acquire and has no basic monthly fee, but it does carry extensive usage fees. These include $1.50 for every successful ATM transaction and $1.00 for every ATM decline; $2.95 each time you add additional value to your card; $1.00 for each direct deposit; $0.25 for each point of sale purchase, and $1.00 for each POS declined transaction; $1.00 for each call to the automated phone system; $0.95 for each online bill payment, $1.95 for a manual bill payment;$2.95 for each card-to-card transfer or card-from-bank account transfer; $4.95 per month for e-mail or voice mail unlimited automatic balance change notifications; $9.95 to purchase a family card, secondary card or close the account; and $1.95 for each monthly statement sent.
In addition, if you use an ATM not owned by the issuer, then you may also be charged a fee by the ATM operator including a balance inquiry, even when you do not complete a withdrawal. International ATM transactions (whether or not they are successful) will incur a $4.95 fee and International POS transactions you will be charged $1.95 per transaction.
If you want to talk to a live customer support agent, an additional $2.95 fee will occur for each call. To replace a lost or stolen card you will be charged a $14.95 fee for each occurrence. If your card is inactive for over 90 days an inactivity fee of $7.95 will be charged.
